CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Four architectural design teams were recognized for skill and creativity in designing with brick at the recent Design with Brick awards presentation given by the Brick Association of the Carolinas. Though much of the recognition was for the actual buildings, some of the awards were also presented to showcase exterior brick work used in the landscape.
The Design with Brick 2004 award winners are:
The President's Award: McKellar & Associates, Mt. Pleasant, S.C.
Honor Awards: Liollio Architecture, Charleston, S.C.; Craig Gauilden Davis, Greenville, S.C.; and MGA Partners, Philadelphia, Pa.
Particularly, Craig Gauilden Davis' honor award for its design of the new Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Greenville showcased an elliptical lawn and landscaped walk.
