Landscape Firm Wins Prestigious Honors

Company wins top honors from California Landscape Contractors Association.

WOODLAND, Calif. -- Andy Gagnon Landscapes Inc., dba Cricket Pools, has won the prestigious "Judges Award," the top honor of a Sacramento Valley chapter, of California Landscape Contractors Association, in its annual Landscape Beautification Awards program.

The Gagnon firm, of Woodland, is celebrating its 25th year of business in Yolo, Sacramento and Solano counties. Over this time, it has earned nearly two dozen CLCA regional and state-wide awards in various installation categories. Competition in the Sacramento Valley chapters of CLCA spans the region from Yuba City to Lodi, and from Solano County to Lake Tahoe.

"Our awards program judging is based on the quality of the landscape installation work," said chapter President Barney Baty.

Andy Gagnon added, "This is the second time we have received this top award, and we are thrilled. Tara Watt, our landscape and pool designer, designed this particular project, located in Davis. It also features a pool, arbor, and kitchen cook top. Tara is a very talented part of our staff."

The firm recently added an experienced landscape architect, Pamela Vann, to its design team.

"Through the years," Gagnon noted, "we have kept sight of our goals to maintain quality work and knowledgeable, professional staff to guide homeowners through the steps of creating a beautiful and functional outdoor haven."

Earlier this year, his firm, which can be reached at 666-0668, was named No. 1 landscaper in the Davis Enterprise "Best of Yolo County" annual business awards survey.

CLCA's Sacramento Valley chapter will have photos of all this year's winning projects on its Web site, www.svclca.org, by mid-August.
