The 2025 Landscaper Census is in!
Here's what you told us.
From streaming services preferred to the sports you played in high school, our census paints a picture of your personalities and interests.
Here's just a few things we learned:
- You use Facebook more than any other social media platform.
- Landscaping was not your first career choice. Yet, if you had to do it all over again, you would still work in the green industry.
That’s just a peek into our 2025 Lawn & Landscape Census. The census data was collected in early September and the results are based on more than 150 respondents. The goal of the survey is to get an idea of what life is like outside of work. We’ve also spoken to a handful of landscapers about their activities in their personal time.
Here's what we found in 2020
This is what we learned last time we ran the Landscaper Census.
Five years after our first-ever landscaper census, we asked questions about their involvement in the industry, but we also wanted to get some perspective on who they were outside of landscaping. We broke it down in our March 2020 issue (nothing crazy happened right after this issue went live, right?!), plus we talked with landscapers across the nation about some of the things they do outside of landscaping.

And what's changed in a decade?
