The body of a landscaper who died in a fall Jan. 29 was discovered the next morning after his customers noticed his truck still parked nearby.
James Edward Lovell, 48, of Albany, Ore., owned and operated his own landscaping business. He was working alone at a residential care home for the elderly near Scio trimming trees.
Investigators believe Lovell lost his footing while trimming trees and fell 6 feet to the ground. The cause of death has yet to be determined but evidence at the scene suggests a neck injury, according to the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
