A 39-year-old Leroy Township, Ohio landscaper died June 2 when he fell from a tree he was cutting on Nelmar Road in Painesville Township, the Lake County Sheriff said.
The coroner ruled June 3 that Christopher Edwards died of head and other injuries after falling 35 feet and hitting a railroad tie. Sheriff reports said Edwards was wearing a safety harness, but its rope was not anchored at the other end.
Edwards owned C&S Tree & Stump Removal for the last 15 years. He is survived by his wife, Sheryl and four young children.
