- A PROMOTION AT PLEASANT: Pleasant Landscapes has promoted Kelly Slater to CEO. Slater, who has been with Pleasant Landscapes for over 15 years, will spearhead the company’s transition to employee ownership and the creation of a multi-tier leadership team.
- ELM'S FIRST PURCHASE: Eastern Land Management, a second-generation company, has acquired Contour Landscaping. Contour, founded in 1992 in Stamford, Connecticut, by Marty Devaney, will be rebranded as Contour Landscaping an ELM Company.
- LEAD A LUSH LOCATION: Lush Lawn, which provides lawn fertilization and weed control services at six Southeast Michigan branches, is launching a new franchising program.
- BEST IN THE BIZ: K&D Landscaping has been named as the 2024 Aptos Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year. K&D Landscaping is led by Justin White, a Lawn & Landscape columnist.
- HOPPING ABOARD AT IA: The Irrigation Association has added three new members to its board of directors: Alan Ence, Brad Jakubowski and Frank Toves.
- DAVEY'S NEW VP: The Davey Tree Expert Company has promoted Phil Snyder to vice president of health and safety.
- SPRINGGREEN'S GROWING: SpringGreen has recently taken on a set of new franchisees in Pennsylvania and Illinois. The company ranked No. 31 on Lawn & Landscape's Top 100 list in 2024 and has roughly 650 employees.
- A LIMITED EDITION LOADER: Case Construction Equipment has released a rare, limited edition 580 Super N Construction King backhoe loader.
