Effective today, upgrades to Lawn & Landscape Online will allow visitors to the site to further customize their online experience. Individuals with My Lawn & Landscape accounts are now able to specify which profile information is shared with other users, particularly on the Lawn & Landscape Online Message Board, by checking specific options on the “My Preferences” screen.
Though profile information will remain tied to visitors’ subscriptions, Lawn & Landscape Online users can now choose activate specific portions of their profiles, including company name and address, phone and fax numbers, and email address. These details can be activated by selecting or deselecting the boxes next to each option on the “My Preferences” page.
Additionally, visitors are welcome to include their company’s Web site by entering the Web address in the box provided. Including the Web address will make it visible to other Lawn & Landscape Message Board users, while leaving the box blank will exclude the information from the profile.
The new profile options available to Lawn & Landscape Online users will allow Message Board participants to keep contact information confidential if they so choose, while still enhancing professionalism and communication in the industry via shared information.
