The Lawn & Landscape Media Group and the Associated Landscape Contractors of America have announced a new multi-faceted partnership.

CLEVELAND – The Lawn & Landscape Media Group, publishers of Lawn & Landscape and Interior Business magazines, and the Associated Landscape Contractors of America (ALCA) have announced a new multi-faceted partnership. This combination of expertise and resources provides a unified source for information and education to lawn and landscape professionals.

"Lawn & Landscape has a great deal of respect for the quality of the information and services that ALCA provides to its members," said Lawn & Landscape Media Group Publisher Cindy Code. "We’re also very excited about the progress we’ve made developing content-rich web sites and conferences during the last three years. Teaming up with ALCA should only help both organizations better serve the industry."

The partnership will focus primarily in the areas of Internet and conference event programming for both groups. Highlights of the partnership include:

  • A new, Internet-based component to ALCA’s Student Career Days event. This new offering will provide the industry with even greater access to a talent-rich pool of prospective landscape employees and will be available in conjunction with the 2001 Student Career Days event.
  • Enhancing the ALCA One-on-One Mentoring Program, which will create a dynamic, interactive, web-based resource for ALCA members.
  • Internet access to ALCA’s certification study materials and resources for the Certified Landscape Technician and Certified Landscape Professional examinations.
  • An agreement to work together in managing conference and seminar development, including ALCA’s Executive Forum and Student Career Days and Lawn & Landscape's School of Management and Business Strategies conferences.

"ALCA’s vision of professionalism includes the integration of communication technology so that our members and the industry can quickly access vital information," said Debra Holder, ALCA’s executive vice president. "Lawn & Landscape is noted for its innovation and communications, which complements ALCA’s goals and supports the industry."

ALCA (www.alca.org) is a national association representing approximately 2,000 professional interior and exterior landscape maintenance, installation and design/build firms and suppliers.

The Lawn & Landscape Media Group, publishers of Lawn & Landscape and Interior Business magazines and Lawn & Landscape Online (www.lawnandlandscape.com), is a subsidiary of GIE Media Inc. (www.giemedia.com), a Cleveland-based producer of trade magazines, conferences and Internet communications.
