Univar names Jim Sparks business development manager – PP&S specialty AG business

Jim SparksAustin, Texas – Univar USA, distributor of professional pest control products, has named Jim Sparks to the position of Business Development Manager, PP&S Specialty Ag Business.  In this newly created position, Sparks will direct and manage the growth and expansion of Univar’s specialty business.  
 
Sparks joined Univar in 2001 as an Outside Sales Representative in Portland, Ore.  From there Sparks was quickly promoted to Sales Manager for the Western District and relocated to Los Angeles.  Then in 2004 Sparks was promoted to District Manager for the Central District.  According to Tracy McEuen, General Manager for Univar PP&S, “Jim has excelled in these positions and has embraced the Specialty Business with a passion and we are very excited to have him build a stronger footprint for the entire Specialty Business”. 

Reporting to Sparks will be Blaine Oakeson, Vector Industry Manager and Ron Dedeke, Twine Industry Manager. 

Sparks will continue to manage Univar’s Central District for PP&S until his successor is named. He will continue to report to Tracy McEuen.
