Do you know someone currently pursuing a degree in horticulture, turfgrass management or a related field? Then have them apply for the Richard Foster Award, sponsored by Lawn & Landscape and its parent company GIE Media.
This $2,500 scholarship is open to anyone enrolled at a two- or four-year university working toward a degree in horticulture, turfgrass management, agronomy, environmental science or other field related to a segment of the green industry.
Additional requirements include:
- Your most recent academic transcript or student advisory tracking report
- At least two letters of recommendation from a college professor, employer/mentor, councilor, adviser or clergy
- A resume outlining your relevant activities, internships and work experience
- 750-word essay describing your personal and professional goals, with examples of your leadership of fellow students, coworkers or others in your community
