A pair of industry veterans will help kickoff the first day of the 2002 Lawn & Landscape Business Strategies Conference, Nov. 1-2, in Cleveland, Ohio. Join Ken Hochkoeppel of Enterprise Analysis, formerly of Ruppert Landscape Co. and Tom Oyler of Oyler Wilson as they help you understand the reasons behind and how structure an effective strategic plan for your business.
Attendees will certainly not want to miss Hochkoeppel’s “Strategic Planning: A Blueprint For Success” on Friday, November 1, 2002 from 2:10 – 4 p.m. In the session he will share with attendees the theory behind developing a strategic business plan for your company. After this session you will understand why creating and implementing a strategic plan is essential if you wish to grow your company and your profits.
Oyler will conduct a “Building Your Business Plan Workshop” right after Hochkoeppel’s session from 4:15 – 5:30 p.m. that will walk you through developing and identifying the proper elements of your strategic plan. You will complete an outline during the session – with the assistance of Oyler – that will list all the necessary information to design and deliver a strategic plan. This working document is tailored to your specific business needs and will provide an instant framework for setting up your strategic plan.
The conference will also offer a facility tour of Yardmaster, one of Ohio’s leading landscape contractors. Yardmaster is a suburban Cleveland full-service company with more than 150 full-time employees. You will tour the company’s facility and have the opportunity to talk with the Yardmaster management team and ask questions on how they run their operation. It is a great way to pick up new ideas for your business and compare notes with fellow contractors. The tour will take place Friday, Nov. 1, from 8 a.m. – 11 a.m. The cost is $20 per person and includes round-trip transportation and refreshments. Advance registration and payment is required.
Attendees will also have the chance to participate in a real eye-opener of an event as you join fellow attendees for a series of Contractor Roundtables on Saturday, November 2, from 7 – 8 a.m. discussing today’s industry “hot” topics. Roundtable sessions will include how to establish employee incentive programs, using labor saving equipment, insurance dos and don’ts, contract selling for commercial accounts and many more. The roundtables are included in the price of your conference registration.
