LebanonTurf recently presented a check totaling $253,615.28 to Wiliam A. Meyer, Ph.D. and Bruce B. Clark, Ph.D., of Rutgers University to support additional turfgrass research. LebanonTurf has cooperated with Meyer on turfgrass development projects that have led to the release of several top rated turfgrass varieties.
This amount represents royalties for these varieties: Rembrandt, Picasso, Masterpiece, and DaVinci Tall Fescue; Champagne, Bordeaux, Cabernet, Sonoma and Zinfandel Kentucky Bluegrass; Affirmed, Exacta, Churchill, Charismatic, Secretariat II, Charismatic II, and Exacta II Perennial ryegrass; Oxford Hard fescue, Pathfinder Creeping Red fescue and Ambassador Chewings fescue; Declaration and Independence Creeping Bentgrass and Legendary Velvet Bentgrass. Many of these varieties rank at the top of the recent NTEP trials and have gained wide acclaim in the industry.
