LESCO Donates $30,000 to Project EverGreen

As an alliance of green industry service providers, Project EverGreen is developing a national marketing campaign to positively promote the industry.

Cleveland, Ohio – “Our industry has a very exciting and promising future, and it can be even more exciting if we all work together to support green industry businesses of every type,” remarks Michael DiMino, President and Chief Executive Officer of LESCO, Cleveland, Ohio. “LESCO has more than 40 years of experience serving lawn care, landscape and golf course professionals, and we’re committed to the industry’s future. That’s why LESCO is proud to donate $30,000 to Project EverGreen.”

Project EverGreen is an allegiance of green industry service providers, associations, suppliers/distributors, media companies and other organizations that is working to develop a national marketing campaign to promote the economic and environmental value of healthy, well-maintained green spaces, including lawns, landscapes, sports turf, golf courses, trees and other areas.

“Project EverGreen is the best example we’ve seen thus far of an organization working to tell the industry’s story directly to consumers,” DiMino says. In addition to our financial support, LESCO’s director of national accounts, Paul McDonough, has invested countless hours as Project EverGreen’s co-chair.
“We believe Project EverGreen deserves this type of support from companies that are truly committed to our industry’s future,” DiMino notes.

Project EverGreen Executive Director Den Gardner said the organization is thrilled with the commitment of time and financial resources by LESCO. “Paul McDonough has been invaluable to the organization in the past year,” Gardner says. “His commitment to the green industry, his desire to tell the real story of the positive impact of what the thousands of end-user companies do across the country each day to preserve and enhance green spaces, and his dedication to growing this alliance has been nothing short of outstanding. LESCO has stepped up to the plate and hit a homerun and has set a great example for other green industry companies to come forward with contributions to this cause.”
