CLEVELAND, Ohio – In the first three months of 2006, LESCO opened six new Service Centers. These new locations are in Ashburn, Lynchburg and Newport News, Va., as well as Lanham, Md., and Brooksville and Lecanto, Fla.
In 2006, LESCO expects to open 30 to 45 new Service Centers across the country, including 10 to 15 in the second quarter. Since 2002, when LESCO began its initiative to drive growth by opening additional locations, the company has opened 85 Service Centers, including this latest group.
“Opening new LESCO Service Centers is clearly one key part of our growth plan,” says Jeff Rutherford, LESCO’s president and chief executive officer. “Our research illustrates that we have the opportunity to open at least 500 new Service Centers across the country, and the success of the locations we have opened in the last three years only serves to reinforce our commitment to this plan.”
So far, LESCO’s expansion efforts have focused primarily on markets where the company already has a presence. In addition, LESCO continues enhancing its existing base of Service Centers by installing new informational signage and featured product displays. “More than 150,000 customers counted on LESCO for products last year," Rutherford says, "and we look forward to strengthening our relationship with them this year while also helping new customers grow their businesses as well."
