Belgard University and the Ohio Landscape Association will host courses in February that will give contractors the opportunity to become ICPI certified installers. The ICPI Concrete Paver Installer Course will be held in Columbus Feb. 14-15 and Cleveland Feb. 27-28.
The two-day classroom course is designed to enhance attendees knowledge in the construction of interlocking concrete pavements and give the opportunity to become certified installers. To become a certified instllaer, attendees must pass the exam and also complete an application for certification, meaning they’ll meet the minimum installation experience requirements of at least 5 projects and 10,000 sq. ft.

- Soil compaction
- Bedding and joint sand
- Paver selection and installation
- Use of labor-saving specialty tools
- Edge restraints
- Base material selection and compaction
- Contract basics

- Estimating and job costing
The course has been designed for all companies and individuals in the residential and commercial installation of interlocking concrete pavements.
