A thank you from our scholarship winner

We received this note from our 2013 scholarship winner, Matthew McKernan, and thought we’d share it with our readers.

"Thank you to all of the sponsors, scholarship committee and everyone else who made the Lawn & Landscape 2013 Young Leader Scholarship possible. I am very grateful to have been named the recipient of this scholarship, and I wanted you to know that I received the scholarship check in the mail right before Christmas. I appreciate everyone’s support of my academic pursuits at Kansas State University. It means a lot to me to know that so many great leaders of the horticulture industry are interested in my success. I also want to thank you for the wonderful article written about me in the October issue of Lawn & Landscape magazine. It is another great honor to be included in such a prestigious magazine. I want to wish you and everyone else a happy new year, and I look forward to seeing you all again in the future. Thank you again for everything you do to make this scholarship possible.
