TAMPA, Fla. – Black Diamond Coatings announced the addition of a technical director to the company on January 4.
Fred Henry, the new technical director, is a native of Tampa and has been involved throughout the city and community for many years. He currently has served as the Riverside Heights Civic Association president for the past three years and stays involved with many other city projects.
Having Henry on board will provide a more developed growth plan for Black Diamond Coatings. He will be working to connect more directly with government entities that have projects, which require USDA certified bio-based products like those of Black Diamond Coatings.
“Fred’s sales and training experience, combined with his likable personality make him a great fit for our management team,” said David Warren, president of Black Diamond Coatings. “We previously worked with Fred on some training videos for our company, and we are excited to bring him on our team in a full-time role as we grow our training focus.”
Henry will be responsible for growing the company’s training programming, including the expansion of the BDC PRO contractor education and creating new programming and events. He will also work in partnership with the customer care team on account growth by ensuring responsive and real-time solutions for distributors and contractors.
Black Diamond Coatings will now gain 25 years of training and marketing experience with Henry on their team. Most recently, Henry worked as National Training Manager for QEP Company supporting retail and wholesale clients throughout North America. Previously, he also worked with The Home Depot and has served as a project manager for a construction contracting company.
