CARY, N.C. – John Deere has announced the addition of the new Z960M zero-turn mower and the expansion of the Z970R ZTrak model.
The Z960M provides professional landscape contractors with a powerful, reliable machine at an affordable price point. Boasting 31.0 HP, the Z960M is available in three deck offerings – 60 inch, 60 inch Mulch On Demand (MOD) or 72 inch. The Z970R now features two additional deck options – 60 inch side discharge (SD) or 60 inch MOD, offering more deck options on the most powerful machine in the Z900 Series line-up.
In addition to the new offerings, John Deere implemented improvements across all of its commercial zero-turn mowers. The current push/pull PTO switch is replaced with a toggle style switch, improving the feel of operation and switch durability. Additionally, front tie down points were added to improve securing the machines on a trailer and lessen the risk of damage to the mowers.
John Deere and EnviroGard recently announced the expansion of the propane conversion program for John Deere dealers and their customers. The program now encompasses 36 different John Deere commercial mowing models, including 21 zero-turn mowers, seven QuikTrak stand-on mowers and eight commercial walk-behind mowers.
