Dickies adding safety wear

Dickies is expanding its enhanced visibility (E-Vis) garment offering from five stocked products to more than 400 combinations of safety-focused occupational wear. The expansion allows workers in high-traffic areas and heavy-equipment zones to customize virtually any Dickies garment by adding E-Vis reflective striping in 18 predetermined locations. The offering launched Jan. 1.

“Many of our customers work in construction, heavy equipment, landscaping and other high traffic industries and demand an enhanced visibility work wear solution from a brand they know and trust,” said Alex Smith, senior vice president of occupational wear at Dickies. “We are pleased to introduce the expanded E-Vis offering to our customers and the work wear marketplace.”  

Dickies E-Vis is constructed from 3M Scotchlite Reflective Tape that provides enhanced visibility in daylight, nighttime and low-light conditions. Color combinations consist of silver, orange/silver and lime/silver available in 1-inch, 1.5-inch, 2-inch and 2.5-inch tape widths. The six 3M tape options can be applied to garments in 18 predetermined locations.
