Orange County, Calif. – Orange-county based Richard Cohen Landscape & Construction, Inc. was recently awarded the coveted Stuart J. Sperber Memorial Sweepstakes Trophy Award for Best of Show in the state of California from the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA), the only state-wide trade organization of licensed landscape contractors and suppliers. Richard Cohen Landscape was also recognized for the Lighting (any landscape lighting) award. Awards were given for the outstanding work at a private residence in the Crystal Cove area of Newport Beach.
“I am proud that our work was awarded the Stuart J. Sperber Memorial Sweepstakes Trophy Award,” said Richard Cohen, president of Richard Cohen Landscape & Construction, Inc. “This award is given to the best residential project for the year. To know that our project was considered the best out of all the beautiful entries in California is quite an honor.”
Award entries in the CLCA Trophy Awards program are judged in person by a panel of expert landscape professionals from other regions in the state who spend countless hours closely inspecting each nomination for the quality of workmanship and materials utilized. Each landscaping entry must adhere to industry standards and have properly shown an execution of detail in plant placement, turf conditions, functionality, efficiency of irrigation and overall presentation.
Richard Cohen Landscape was also recognized by the Orange County CLCA with a total of seven local awards in August 2013, including a top Sweepstakes Award for best overall landscape.
