SAN MARCOS, Calif – The Irrigation Association awarded Hunter Industries CEO Richard Hunter with its highest honor: the Industry Achievement Award.
The Irrigation Association chose Hunter because of his contributions to advancing irrigation practices, technologies and the industry at large. Following the family tradition, Richard Hunter helped his father, brother and sister build Hunter Industries from the ground up.
He became the company’s president and CEO in 1994 and has since continually increased annual revenues through the expansion of the irrigation product line and the acquisition of FX Luminaire. Currently Hunter Industries is sold in more than 80 countries worldwide. Hunter has also served the industry as president of the Irrigation Association in 1989.
