AmericanHort to host webinar on new tax law information

The webinar will educate green industry business owners on the new tax law.


COLUMBUS, Ohio – AmericanHort will co-host a free Comprehending the New Tax Law webinar on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 3 p.m. with K-Coe Isom, a national tax consulting leader for food and agriculture-related industries. During the one-hour webinar, green industry business owners and decision makers will learn important changes and ways to reap benefits from the new tax law.

“We have received multiple calls about the new tax law, and we knew it was time to pull in top industry experts to provide our members advice on the topic,” said Ken Fisher, president and CEO of AmericanHort. “This is one of many initiatives AmericanHort will lead in 2018 to help the industry perform better, grow faster and prepare for the future.”

With a combined 45 years of green industry-related accounting and tax policy experience, Ryan Stroschein and Doug Claussen of K-Coe Isom will provide expert advice to help webinar attendees profit from the new changes. Attendees will learn whether to change their operating model; how and what to write off in the next five years; changes to prepare for in the cash accounting model; and how estate tax exemptions should be managed.

Attendees will also hear from AmericanHort’s Senior Vice President Craig Regelbrugge and its Director of Governmental Affairs Tal Coley who will ensure all important topics are addressed.
