T. Christy Enterprises has successfully completed a year-long initiative to move production of its entire line of PVC solvent cements and primers to their own dedicated factory near Nashville, Tenn. The effort began in October 2009 and included installation and start-up of state-of-the-art manufacturing and laboratory processes.
The Tennessee site was selected two years ago to serve as a centralized distribution point within North America, supplementing the company’s warehouses in Anaheim and Sacramento, Calif., and Phoenix. The plant currently is manufacturing more than a dozen different proprietary solvent and primer formulations used by irrigation professionals.
“Independent surveys continue to show our flagship Christy’s Red Hot Blue Glue is the first choice solvent cement for irrigation professionals across a wide area of the U.S.” said Jon Christy, company president. “With growth in Red Hot, plus the expansion of sales of our other solvents and primers, it was time to make the strategic investment in a dedicated facility.”
