Green industry speakers join bureau

The Speakers Bureau now represents nearly 20 presenters and educators.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – Green Industry Speakers Bureau has announced the addition of 10 professional speakers to service the green industry.

The bureau represents Jody Shilan, Jason Cupp, Chris Heiler, Brad Groff, Mark Simmons, Steve Windhager, Tony Bass and Paul Gosselin and has added these speakers to its list:

Bill Phagan is a speaker, educator and financial and business operations consultant for all green industry professions as well as lawn care and pest control companies. He is a former IBM sales manager and trainer as well as a former owner/operator of a 45 person landscape management company.

Daniel Wilson has been a featured seminar presenter at the Western Landscape National Expo the last four years in a row (2008-2011). Daniel was one of the Metropolitan Water District's (MWD) Educational Consultants to represent the district by teaching about landscape improvements with water conservation (2008-2010).

John Allin is recognized as the foremost snow and ice industry consultant in the country today. Allin is the founder of the Snow & Ice Management Association, (SIMA) and served as its national board president for six years.

Phil Harwood is a leading voice in the landscape and snow industries, speaking to audiences throughout North America and writing for industry publications to share his message of organizational health and growth.

George Elvin, Ph.D., LEED AP, is a designer, author and international speaker sharing insights on next-generation green design, technologies and business with professionals and organizations worldwide.

Jenks Farmer is a horticulturist, plants man and plant promoter. He designed and built Riverbanks Botanical Garden, Moore Farms Botanical Garden and two of his own plant based companies. He's lectured for the Smithsonian, Wave Hill, Northwest Flower Show and many other groups.

Melissa Daniels has worked as the sales and inventory manager for East Coast Nurseries where she helped take the company from $1 million to $4 million annual sales.

Constance Haydock, ASLA, is a LEED accredited professional. Her programs focus on site planning and design and consultation for sustainable design, adaptive re-use, and projects seeking LEED certification.

David Hildreth has held positions from lawn care specialist to regional manager over his 15 years with Chemlawn. He was the COO of Scott Byron &Co. for 10 years, an award winning, residential design/build and maintenance firm located on the North Shore of Chicago.

Barry Glick is a Horticulturist who conducts a hands-on propagation workshop called "The Joy of Propagation" or "Everything That You Wanted to Know about Propagation, But Were Afraid to Ask."
