Kent, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company has announce promoted Rich Wiland to district manager of the Naples/Fort Myers, Florida, Residential/Commercial office.
Wiland started his career with Davey in 2009 as a climber trainee at the Naples office. He was quickly promoted to a plant health care coordinator. Wiland started working part-time on the sales team in 2013 and became a full-time sales arborist in 2014.
“Rich’s talent for customer service and genuine consideration for his clients and fellow employees, as well as his drive to succeed, have continued to move him forward at Davey and benefited the southwest Florida region,” said Keith Francies, the operations manager of the Southeast R/C operating group.
Wiland is a 2014 graduate of the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences, which is Davey’s flagship training program in biological sciences, safety, tree and plant care and management techniques. He’s also an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist, holds a Florida Certified Pest Control Operator License and has a Collier County Business License.
