Program: Train the Trainer
Location: Retreat and Conference Center at Bon Secours in Marriottsville, Md.
Program Dates: Sunday, Feb. 8 - Wednesday, Feb. 11
Cost: $1,400.00 per person
(The registration fee of $1,400.00 per attendee includes training materials, lodging, meals and round-trip group transportation from and to the Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI).)
Attire: Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable attire. Jeans or casual slacks and company logo attire or similar is the norm. Attendees are asked to pack at least one shirt with their company logo for the group photo.
Additional Information: Each participant will engage in numerous exercises and will be video taped and critiqued throughout the two and a half day program. Greater self awareness, enhanced presentation skills, and a broader understanding of the factors contributing to successful workplace learning and workforce empowerment are among the benefits obtained by program participants. They also develop a network of peers and contacts with NHLA staff and leaders that they can leverage as they continue to grow after the program.
The goal of Train the Trainer is to empower landscape industry professionals with the skills needed to effectively advance the awareness, skill, and knowledge of others. Among the topics covered are:
(1) how to assess the need for training,
(2) how to develop training to meet specific needs,
(3) how to deliver training most effectively to landscape industry workers,
(4) how to determine if learning is taking place during the training, and
(5) how to measure the impact of training on operations.
