Ruppert Landscape names operations manager

Laytonsville, MD – Ruppert Landscape is pleased to announce the promotion of Mike Felts to the position of Operations Manager in our Maryland Landscape Construction Branch.

In his role as Operations Manager, Felts will be responsible for all aspects of production in the branch including all field operations, personnel, vehicles and equipment, safety, subcontracts, direct cost accounts and selected overhead expenses.

“Mike has demonstrated his ability to think outside of the box while in the role of production manager,” says Jones. “His fresh perspective, garnered from his experience outside the green industry, will be a huge asset in his new role as Operations Manager. We are looking forward to many good things from him.” 

Felts is 2005 graduate of Virginia Tech, where he majored in business management. Prior to starting with Ruppert, he was a partner in a general contracting company in North Carolina and served six years as a sergeant in the U.S. Army, deployed to Afghanistan for two of those years. He has been with the Ruppert organization for three years and has served in the roles of Estimator and Production manager prior to his promotion to Operations Manager. Mike resides in Laytonsville with his wife Sophie, and their three children.
