Southeast Regional Conference starts Feb. 22

The New York State Turfgrass Association's conference includes education seminars and a trade show.

The New York State Turfgrass Association will host the Southeast Regional Conference Feb. 22-23 in Fishkill, N.Y.

Conference highlights include:

Tuesday, Feb. 22 will feature a half day of Cornell University research updates. Topics covered by Cornell professors are IPM-based weed and golf turf management, nitrogen leaching and water quality, resolving pest problems and nutrition management.

Wednesday, Feb. 23 will feature a full day of education classes and a trade show. The day will include discussions on: turfgrass insects, growth regulators and bio-stimulants, successful weed management strategies, trees and turf, proper planting to reduce pesticide use, pond water management, cemetery maintenance sessions and legislative and regulatory updates.
