VISTA, Calif. - EasyTurf will join Gary Sinise and his Lt. Dan Band at Naval Medical Center San Diego Feb. 15 to honor wounded service members and the staff who care for them.
EasyTurf will transform the street in front of the hospital into a lush, green lawn for service members and families to kick back and enjoy the Lt. Dan Band show and picnic with lunch provided by celebrity chef Robert Irvine.
"We're excited to take part in honoring our country's service members and their families," says Dave Hartman, EasyTurf President. "We're going to take concrete and asphalt and transform the street into a soft grass lawn so the patients and staff can truly enjoy the day's events."
Along with the band and celebrity lunch, service members, staff and families will be treated to games, bouncy houses and contests. This marks the second year of the event, and EasyTurf's involvement.
"Our 'lawn' was a hit last year, and we know it will be again this year," Hartman says. "These men and women chose to serve their country and give up a lot for us. This is a fun event and allows us to show our appreciation for all they have sacrificed."
EasyTurf has long offered a military appreciation discount and continues to extend a $500 discount on an installation greater than 500 sq. ft. to any who retired from our Armed Forces or still wear the uniform.
