DAVIS, Calif. – Preserve the structural integrity, beauty and functionality of trees and shrubs in the coming year. Discover professional pruning techniques for healthy trees with UC Davis Extension's upcoming course in Practical Pruning: A Workshop for Arborists and Landscapers. This course is held in Davis, Calif.
Attendees will gain a thorough review of tree biology, pruning principles and techniques for landscape trees during this one-day workshop. Through lecture, discussion and slide presentations, pruning principles and practices for young trees, as well as field discussion and effective pruning techniques for managing mature trees will be examined. Pruning practices are based on the ANSI A300 Pruning and Safety standards. Attendees also will receive a copy of the current ISA Best Management Practices Tree Pruning booklet.
The course will be held Friday, April 13 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The cost is $190 and includes course materials and lunch. Enroll in section 114AGR100.
