KENT, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company has announced the promotion of Jeff Crites to market manager in Davey’s Midwest-based residential/commercial operations.
Crites’ responsibilities include successful implementation of all sales, operating profit, marketing, safety and client experience goals for residential/commercial operations in the Midwest. Crites started with Davey in 1986 as a lawn care technician in the Akron, Ohio, area. He earned promotions to tree care foreman, sales arborist, assistant district manager and, most recently, district manager of Davey’s Canton, Ohio, territory.
“Jeff is a proven leader with a successful track record of providing reliable, high-quality horticultural services,” said Jim Houston, vice president, Midwest residential/commercial operations for Davey. “We look forward to continued growth in our Great Lakes region through Jeff’s experience and focus on client satisfaction.”
Crites is an International Society of Arboriculture certified arborist. He is a 1990 graduate of the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences, Davey’s flagship training program in biological sciences, safety, tree and plant care and management techniques. In 2013 he received the Outstanding Manager Award at the Davey National Managers’ Meeting in Phoenix.
