A seminar on how to treat emerald ash borer with ash tree insecticides will be held Monday, Feb. 28 at Little Bear East Arena in St. Ignace, Mich.
A public meeting will be held from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. to discuss the current status of EAB locally, statewide and nationally. Also, an update will be given by the Slow Ash Mortality Pilot Project.
From 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. a free insecticide seminar will be held for landowners, homeowners, foresters, landscapers and arborists. The topics covered include: Determining the condition of ash trees, options for ash trees and insecticide options available. Continuing education credits are available for Michigan certified pesticide applicators, arborists and foresters.
