Ruppert Landscape expands to Georgia

The company has opened a new branch and promoted a manager.

LAYTONSVILLE, Md. – Ruppert Landscape has expanded its Georgia operations to include a new branch in Mableton, GA. That branch will be led by Thor Grenier, who has been promoted to the position of branch manager.

“The Georgia market is a vibrant area with a lot of great customers,” said Phil Key, president. “We are fortunate to be in a position to expand with a new branch and provide growth opportunity for our employees.”

This branch, serving the Atlanta region, joins 16 existing branch offices that are located in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Georgia and North Carolina, supporting both the landscape construction and landscape management divisions of the company. Key describes the opening of the Mableton Landscape Management branch, which was started as a satellite operation over one year ago, as right in line with the company’s five-year plan.

“Every time we grow in the markets we serve, it gives us more density, which means less travel time to our jobs,” said Key. “This provides more value for our customers, which in turn, perpetuates more growth.”

Grenier has been with the Ruppert organization for fourteen years and has served in multiple positions including field manager, senior supervisor, area manager and enhancement manager. As a branch manager, he will be responsible for the overall development and health of the branch including strategic planning, budgeting, training and higher education, and all day-to-day operations.

“Thor has been instrumental in helping us maintain and further our presence in the Atlanta market and we have every confidence he will continue to provide excellent service for our customers while advancing his team,” said Fred Key, vice president and regional director of the Landscape Management Division. “We are always happy when our company’s growth continues to provide opportunities for high achievers in our company, like Thor, to excel.”

Grenier graduated from SUNY Cobleskill with a Bachelor of Technology degree in plant science. He is a Georgia Certified Landscape Professional (GCLP), Georgia Certified Pesticide Applicator and holds a Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Blue Card. Grenier was also honored with a Branch Impact Award in 1997, 2007 and 2010. Grenier, his wife, Kelly, and their daughter, Caroline, currently reside in Grayson, Ga.
