PASADENA, Texas – Quali-Pro, a division of Control Solutions, has launched Negate 37WG herbicide. Negate’s synergistic formulation allows turf managers to control more than 35 grasses and broadleaf weeds in Bermudagrass and Zoysiagrass.
Negate inhibits the growth enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS), providing post-emergent control. Negate also allows LCOs the ability to control problematic grasses such as POA, and ryegrass as well as broadleaf weeds.
“Negate is a wettable granule (WG) formulation with a convenient pack size of 1.5 oz which treats one acre,” said Jerry Corbett, Quali-Pro product management and development manager. “Just one application of NEGATE will help you keep your turf consistently strong, healthy and clean, allowing turf managers to focus on other aspects of their job.”
It attacks grasses and weeds systemically, moving through the plant by absorption through the foliage and roots. “The distinct formulation of Negate will also control stubborn weed species such as clover, dandelion, henbit, chickweed and prostrate spurge,” Corbett said.
Negate is labeled for professionally managed commercial turf and landscape ornamentals, golf courses, college and sports fields, industrial, sod farms and other similar non-residential areas to provide cool-season weed control management for warm season-turf.
