James Cali and Jason New are partnering with the Marty Grunder! Inc. (MGI) team to provide coaching and consulting to owners of landscaping companies.

Grunder teamed with Cali and New to broaden MGI’s reach and meet client demand. Along with being the founder of MGI, Grunder is founder and CEO of Grunder Landscaping and a columnist for Lawn & Landscape.

“This year marks my 22nd year of helping landscaping-business owners grow their companies,” Grunder said. “We have a proven method for getting results. Adding Cali and New to the mix enables us to greatly expand our offerings.”

Cali and New will run two of MGI’s peer groups, known as ACEs (Accountability Creates Excellence), as well as provide coaching and consulting. Both are experts at growing green industry firms and combine a broad experience from tactical roles in our industry with unique insight into systems, culture, recruiting, branding, and leadership. Both have held various positions with industry leaders like FedEx and Brickman.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the MGI team,” Cali said. “Jason and I are committed to driving green-industry companies to reach the next level in their business.”

New said, “We’re excited to coach MGI clients in our tested, hands-on approach to execution and accountability. We’ve seen firsthand the difference it can make in clients’ profits.”

Cali and New are both active in the National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) where they are both Trailblazers and have held various committee leadership roles over the past ten years. Currently Cali leads the Political Action Committee and is a member of the Public Affairs Advisory Committee and New is a member of the Education Committee. Cali and New will join longtime MGI coach Matt Caruso and MGI Vice President Vince Torchia.

Torchia said, “Iron sharpens iron, and the blending of talent that clients receive from MGI truly makes us the number-one firm to help landscape professionals achieve their vision.”

“Cali and New are both men of integrity whose core values align with ours at MGI,” Grunder said. “Together we’re going to have a lot of fun helping green industry professionals reach their goals and beyond.”
