Company joins LandOpt contractor network

Commercial Grounds Management is the third Powered by LandOpt contractor in Illinois.

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Peoria-based CGM – Commercial Grounds Maintenance has joined the LandOpt contractor network, bringing the number of Powered by LandOpt contractors in Illinois tto three.

Todd Kollar founded CGM in 1997, when it was known as Green Carpet Lawn Care. In the last 19 years, CGM has grown to include five specific departments: grounds maintenance; shrub and tree trimming; landscaping and projects; fertilizing and weed control; and snow removal and ice control.
 
The CGM team is eager to adopt the LandOpt system and interact with its network in order to become a model business and grow, with intentions to open a second location.
 
“The sky is the limit with LandOpt,” Kollar said. “It’s a better way to do business.”
 
Kollar’s interest in the LandOpt system was sparked when he read Process – Driven Partnership an article about Silvis Group, one of LandOpt’s network members, in SIMA – Snow Business Magazine.
 
“I could feel the pain he had gone through (before he joined LandOpt,” Kollar said about owner Jake Silvis. “I wanted to embrace the same scalable systems and proven processes to grow – like his company did.”
 
Being able to participate in the industry’s best practices and utilize network knowledge were key selling points to joining LandOpt, Kollar said.
 
“Having a structured plan and knowing that it will work because the principles and processes already are tested is exciting,” he added. Kollar also is looking forward to providing a defined career path for CGM employees.
 
With the continued success and growth of the LandOpt network, the landscape service contracting industry is headed in the right direction toward a more business-focused and professional approach, said Tim Smith, LandOpt president and CEO.
