KENT, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company has announced the promotion of Matt Fromm to district manager of the North Pittsburgh Residential/Commercial (R/C) office.
Fromm started with Davey in 2009 as a tree climber and Plant Health Care technician in the North Pittsburgh R/C office. He was promoted to sales representative in 2012 in the South Pittsburgh R/C office.
“Matt’s background in forestry and landscaping at Davey gives him a wealth of experience to draw on in meeting the needs of his clients,” said Jeff Crites, market manager. “In addition, he’s used his excellent people skills to develop many Davey employees, something that will greatly enhance the level of service we strive to deliver.”
Fromm is a 2011 graduate of the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences, which is Davey’s flagship training program in biological sciences, safety, tree and plant care and management techniques. He is an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist and is a certified commercial pesticide applicator.
Fromm holds a bachelor’s degree in forest biology and a master’s degree in plant pathology, both from Penn State University.
