Mustard Seed grows

Mark Hallahas acquired a second location for the Mustard Seed Landscaping & Garden Center.

A third generation owner of a family business brings new life, and his faith-based business, The Mustard Seed, to his family roots at Halla Nursery in Chaska, Minn.

The Mustard Seed Landscaping & Garden Center, owned by Mark & Kay Halla, will now occupy the former location of Halla Nursery, which closed its doors in November, 2012. This spring the doors will officially open as The Mustard Seed at Halla Nursery.

Many changes have been started but future plans include enhancing the parking lot, offering a broader selection of plants, and bringing in new animals and an expanded children's play area for enjoyment. “It will be a work in progress,” Mark said. “There is so much we want to do, but time and resources will ultimately control how quickly we can implement our plans."

Prior to starting The Mustard Seed, Mark spent most of his career with his sad, Don Halla, working to grow Halla Nursery.
