PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Pro Edge Lawn Care out of Holland, Ohio was recognized with the President’s Award during LandOpt’s annual Principals Meeting and Success Celebration in Savannah, Georgia this February.
Owner, Tony Szczechowski and the Pro Edge Team were identified amongst a peer network of top level performers in the green industry. Each year, LandOpt recognizes the strongest performers in multiple categories in the network of more than 30 landscape contractors from across the United States. Compared to the more quantitative traditional awards, the President’s Award criteria is qualitative in nature. Pro Edge was ranked on accomplishments based on achieving efforts such as leadership, consistency, initiative, commitments upheld and impacting the team vs. individuals.
“We foster a culture of leadership in the network and its individuals,” said Tim Smith, president and CEO of LandOpt. “We continue to see a shift in individual’s attitudes moving from - I can do this by myself to we can do this together.”
LandOpt empowers a select group of highly qualified, independently owned landscape contractors through a powerful, proprietary business operating system, which significantly improves the profitability and growth of each contractor in the LandOpt Network. The portfolio of integrated sales and marketing, human resources, operations and business management modules is based on proven processes, supported by best-in-class technology and professional training. The business operating system is designed specifically for leading landscape contractors nationwide.
Since joining the LandOpt network three years ago, Pete Skowronek, Pro Edge account manager and former crew leader of ten years, has experienced quite a change in systems and processes in their company. “The roles are now defined with a clear career path. Employees get to see the changes and advancements of where we are going,” Skowronek said.
“While being Powered by LandOpt has improved our business, it’s made a major impact on our quality of life as well,” said Erica Szczechowski. “My husband is working on going beyond the conventional landscape company. He is building a business for his family, community and creating a legacy for our sons.”
