ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Heads Up Landscape Contractors, celebrating its 40th year in 2013, welcomes 14 student interns from five different colleges for 12 weeks of on the job experience. These students are studying business, landscape design, landscape management, horticulture and other disciplines.
“We’ve done the intern program for the last seven years. Each year we find the best and brightest business, landscape and horticulture students from around the country,” said Gary Mallory, CEO of Heads Up Landscape Contractors. “We believe that landscape design, installation and maintenance can be a great career, and love helping students who are as passionate about ‘growing better’ as we are.”
Interns from UNM Anderson School of Business are Corine Garcia, Amber Goon, Terra London, Kyle Mazzei, Jake Mechenbier, Patrick Partridge, and Katie Schroeder. Pierce Lovesee is from Brigham Young University. Landon Huckins, Tyler Maly and Anna Oostong come from Oklahoma State University, Kellen Stewart and Lance Wright attend Kansas State University, and Michael Vampran is from Mississippi State University.
