KENT, Oh. — The Davey Tree Expert Company is proud to announce the promotion of Jed Day to vice president and general manager in the residential and commercial service line, western operations. In Day’s new role, he will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities for residential western operations.
Day holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Forestry from Stephen F. Austin State University and is a graduate of Davey’s flagship month-long training program, the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences. He is a past board member of The Park People, Trees for Houston and the Houston Area Urban Forestry Council and Davey’s President’s Council. He is a current member of the Board of Advisors for Trees for Houston. With more than 32 years of experience at Davey, Day most recently served as vice president of western operations for residential services.
“Jed has a wealth of experience at Davey and within the Green Industry,” said Pat Covey, chief operating officer. “This experience, combined with his dedication towards the company and industry, will be a valuable tool to help Davey to reach its strategic goals.”
