Arysta LifeScience North America, recently launched its Xonerate Herbicide application for the iPad in the Apple App Store. Arysta LifeScience developed the app to help golf course superintendents and lawncare operators in the usage of Xonerate, which eliminates Poa annua. Users can search “Xonerate” in the App Store to find the new app.
“Having the Xonerate app available via the App Store expands our reach, making it even more convenient for our customers to use immediately,” said Michael Maravich, turf & ornamental marketing and product manager for Arysta LifeScience. “The app contains content and visuals to help identify Poa annua, along with treatment options when using Xonerate. It also includes an example of the cost of Poa annua on a golf course and the cost savings of using Xonerate over untreated options.”
Originally designed as a sales tool, the Xonerate application gained interest from superintendents and sports turf managers as a tool to help with application timing and related turf management needs. Research shows Xonerate to be 90 percent effective in controlling Poa annua, more than any other current product on the market. It also provides great application flexibility for users.
The app demonstrates the value of Xonerate and its usage in fighting Poa annua, including a section with tools for superintendents and sports turf managers to utilize in sharing product information with greens committees. It also features trial data and testimonials not available on the Xonerate website.
“We realized the need for an easy-to-use, visual and portable method of speaking to the issues of Poa annua amongst our key Xonerate users – golf course superintendents and lawncare operators,” Maravich added. “Xonerate is an effective treatment to eliminate Poa annua, and Arysta LifeScience is helping many industry professionals do just that to this troublesome weed.”
