Today, Lawn & Landscape plans to host a virtual conference on adding and retaining commercial clients. Recurring revenue of commercial work helps grow a landscaper’s bottom line, but many contractors don’t think they can handle the work that comes with larger maintenance jobs. This virtual conference will help to debunk some of those myths.

Virtual conference attendees will receive advice on how to effectively win commercial contracts and what it takes to grow relationships with commercial property managers. Lawn & Landscape Editor Brian Horn will moderate the event. During the conference, attendees will hear from the following people:

  • Property manager’s perspective: Marc Fischer, president and CEO of InspiRE Commercial Real Estate Services, will share his perspective on purchasing decisions and how landscapers can break into the commercial space. He has worked in the commercial property management industry for more than 25 years.
  • Effective marketing to win commercial jobs: Bob Grover, president of Pacific Landscape Management, will give attendees a breakdown on different marketing strategies needed to win commercial bids. He will provide attendees simple steps to implement along with big-picture ideas to work on in the future. Grover founded Pacific Landscape Management in 2001 and has more than 30 years of industry experience.
  • Commercial culture: Pam Stark, consultant at Bruce Wilson & Company, will take attendees through the process of creating a culture of service, starting with leadership characteristics needed to guide teams and essential success behaviors employees need to have. Stark has more than 40 years of experience in the green industry and formerly was senior vice president at ValleyCrest Companies.
  • 10 steps to operate a successful commercial maintenance company: Bruce Moore Sr., president and CEO at Eastern Land Management, plans to discuss how to avoid getting overwhelmed and how to create a focused vision and transform leaders in a company. Moore started his company in 1976.

The virtual conference will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. EDT on Monday, May 21. The conference is a virtual event, so industry professionals can attend from anywhere. The event is also free. Click here to register.
