NEW PRAGUE, Minn. – TruGreen announced it will donate up to $10,000 to GreenCare for Troops, a Project EverGreen program that offers free lawn care and landscape services to military families currently deployed in the Armed Forces.
TruGreen will donate $1 for every new follower it gains on its Facebook page for a three-month period, potentially raising up to $10,000.
The donations will go toward Project EverGreen’s GreenCare for Troops, the nationwide program that matches military families in need of lawn care assistance with area volunteers and lawn care providers.
“Like Project EverGreen, TruGreen strives to preserve and enhance green spaces for today and tomorrow,” said Philip Dobbs, chief marketing officer for TruGreen. “We are pleased to show our appreciation of GreenCare for Troops by providing aid both financially and through branch volunteerism.”
More than 10,000 military families are currently registered for the GreenCare for Troops program. The initiative is underwritten by Cub Cadet.
