This Wisconsin Green Industry Federation has announced the passing of University of Wisconsin Extension Outreach Specialist Karen Delahaut.
Delahaut, 52, will be remembered as a vivacious person, who was a dedicated professional working to serve those in horticulture, most recently as Fresh Market Vegetable Program coordinator. She also participated as an instructor in pesticide applicator certification training throughout the state.
She will also be remembered for her love and dedication to her family and pets along with her passion for gardening. Up to her death, she volunteered at several organizations that centered around her passion for plants and trees.
Delahaut’s memorial service will be held Friday, May 6 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison.
