PLANET, the national trade association representing more than 100,000 landscape industry professional, recently announced the members of their Lawn Care Specialty Group. Four of the fourteen are members of the Illinois Professional Lawn Care Association. Mark Utendorf, president of IPLCA, was pleased to learn of the appointments. “The fact that these four members are willing to step up and serve in this national organization shows the level of commitment to professionalism and quality business practices present in our organization. We strive to set high standards for education and service in the lawn care industry and having quality leadership among our membership is vital to our success.”
The PLANET Lawn Care Specialty Group sets standards and criteria for the organization’s lawn care members. The purpose of this specialty group is to recommend improvements to products and services as well as to increase participation in the association’s programs surrounding the lawn care industry. The group provides feedback to other committees through surveys of the lawn care industry.
The four IPLCA members named to the committee include Harold Enger of Spring Green Lawn Care, Norm Kleber, CLT/CLP Industry professional, Bill Leuenberger of Chalet Nursery, and Doug Obermann of PBI Gordon.
