MANCHESTER, Conn. – At its annual meeting, the Connecticut Nursery and Landscape Association elected Peter House as its new president. House is owner/partner of East Haven Landscape Products in East Haven Conn.
• Officers and Directors Elected. In addition to electing a new president, CNLA members also elected David Taddei of Mountainview Landscape, Hamden, as their new vice president; Kevin Sullivan, Chestnut Hill Nursery, Stafford Springs, as treasurer; Steven Bousquet of American Landscape Service, North Franklin as past president and the following to the board of directors:
•Brian Kogut, Kogut Nursery, Meriden
•Darryl Newman, Planters’ Choice Nursery, Newtown
•Jason Scire, VanWilgen’s Garden Center, North Branford
•Robert St. Jacques, Four Seasons Landscaping, Windsor
• Barry Burton Takes CNLA Highest Award. The Association’s Award of Merit for 2012 went to a CNLA past president, Barry Burton, who owns B.F. Burton Landscapes of Roxbury.
• Eggert Is Young Nursery Professional of the Year. Henry Eggert of VanWilgen’s Garden Center, North Branford, was also selected as the state’s Young Nursery Professional for 2012 by the New England Nursery Association.
