As of approximately 5 p.m. PST on Wednesday, May 14, Hunter's Headquarters, located in San Marcos, California was evacuated due to wildfires in the surrounding area. As of 1 p.m. PST, May 15, an evacuation order was still in place, which has carried over to Friday, May 16. The plant in San Marcos will therefore be shut down at least through the weekend.
Luckily, the company has not incurred any damage to the property, the inventory, or received any reports of personal injury to the employees. They have taken appropriate measures to ensure Hunter employees are safe and the assets are secure. They will return to normal production and shipping operations as soon as they are able to ensure safe working conditions exist.
