Kent, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company is proud to announce the promotion of Sean Zieche to district manager of the Glen Ellyn Residential/Commercial (R/C) office.
“Sean has a bright future with the company and the community of Glen Ellyn. One of his strongest traits is his desire to teach people,” said Geoff Cowan, operations manager, South Chicago R/C operating group. “When he isn’t training one of his own employees, he volunteers his time working with the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA) to help train other arborists in safe tree care working practices. Sean’s ingrained leadership skills show he is ready to take the Glen Ellyn office to the next level of success.”
Zieche began his career with Davey in 2009 as a groundman and climber. He quickly earned several promotions, including to foreman, production foreman and mostly recently assistant district manager in the Glen Ellyn office.
He is a 2015 graduate of the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences, which is Davey’s flagship training program in biological sciences, safety, tree and plant care and management techniques.
Zieche is an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist and an ISA Certified Tree Worker Climber Specialist. He is an ISA tree climbing competition judge and holds an Illinois pesticide license, is a member of the Illinois Arborist Association, the Chicago Region Tree Initiative, and TCIA.
