RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – BASF Professional Turf & Ornamentals announced Bob York has been promoted to senior marketing manager.
“Bob successfully blends hands-on field experience and deep industry knowledge with a passion for end-user feedback,” said Brian Lish, business manager, BASF Professional Turf & Ornamentals. “Under his customer-centric marketing leadership, BASF has developed programs, including the industry’s simplest early order program, and marketed products that meet the needs of turf professionals as well as nursery and greenhouse growers.”
In his role as senior marketing manager, York will lead the Professional Turf & Ornamentals marketing strategy, as well as planning and program development, financial forecasting, and collaboration with manufacturing, regulatory and biology, formulation and product labeling groups.
York started at BASF in 2002 as a senior sales specialist for the Northeastern United States territory, and moved into a marketing role in 2005. Prior to working at BASF, York held positions at ProSource One and Novartis (formerly Ciba-Geigy).
York graduated from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.
